The Chris Standring Songbook

Since I released my first Songbook back in 2018 I have released four new and original studio albums, representing approximately 40 additional songs. For whatever reason I had at the time, I never included some compositions from my earlier albums in the first songbook. Perhaps I wanted to pick the most appropriate ones, I can't remember. So it came to my attention that I had plenty of material for a second volume. And so here it is. I have stuck to the traditional 'real book' format throughout, simply because experienced musicians who wish to play new songs at their gigs mostly want to see melody and chords only, and of course a need to understand what the feel of the song was originally so they can interpret that song and make it their own.

So here are 70 more compositions spanning a 30 year period, including compositions from every album so far released.
