Many folks have asked me over the years if I have transcriptions
of my recorded solos available. I have been a little embarrassed in
the past when I have had to respond with "No, sorry - maybe
one day soon!" And of course I thought about the idea for a
long time....
2008 was the year I launched my own record company, Ultimate Vibe Recordings,
so the idea of including printed music without having to seek out licensing
rights from record companies was very attractive, and so I went to work
transcribing the album "Love & Paragraphs". Some
feat I can tell you. Can't remember putting in so much work.
So I decided to offer more than just a pdf chart of my recorded solos
from this album. I thought, why not offer all that a musician needs
to really get the benefit from this stuff. So I decided to include each
album track with my guitar omitted so you can be the guitar player,
playing along. Just as you might have done with Jamey Abersold and music
minus one recordings, I have done so with this album, for all 10 tracks.
But rather than stop there, I also included a TAB version for each track
along with a master rhythm chart so you can perform each song in a small
group setting. There is also a midi file of the solo guitar part so
you can speed it up or slow it down for practicing reference. Finally,
there is of course the complete album track with me playing each solo
so you can hear the original recording.
I'm also going to send you a physical CD of Love & Paragraphs
in the mail too
so your audio experience won't be limited to just your computer or ipods.
Each pdf chart is high resolution and prints beautifully. You can see
samples of exactly what you will get in the left menu <=
