News: December 2010
Hey gang.
It's December already can you believe? A week before Christmas
and I am yet to start any shopping.
It's been a helluva year for me, in a good way. Blue Bolero,
my album, went to number 1 at radio across the country and
stayed there for five consecutive weeks, and now Bossa
Blue, my first radio single from that album is the top smooth
jazz track of 2010 on Billboard.
Art Good also pronounced the album "Jazztrax
best album of 2010". Nice to know that a little hard
work doesn't always go unrewarded.
And it was wonderful to perform the entire album with a rhythm
section and string quartet in many venues this year including
Catalina jazz festival, Jazz Alley in Seattle, Pizza Express
in London UK and a number of great California concerts.
And if that wasn't enough, I moved house, built a fabulous
new recording studio and I am in the middle of two projects
that will be released on my ultimate Vibe Recordings label
next year, so I wonder if I will be able to relax soon. Probably
not. And if I'm honest, that's the way I like it.
