How does one justify art? Buy a very large canvas, splatter a little paint on it in a random fashion, perhaps repeat with a different color, hang it on the wall, making sure your room has the necessary hardwood floors, and bam, art in an instant! This subject of course has been an argument for centuries, but one I think I have finally come to terms with. The very fact that someone actually went to the trouble to do it at all is admirable to me. This shows creativity (to a questionable degree), assertiveness, and the desire to manifest something immortal - CRAP though it might be! However, should wealthy aristocratic collectors want to spend thousands of dollars to acquire such wonderment, then so be it. I think that is all that needs to be said.
